Tanning Tips
Tanning is natural. When you tan correctly you will benefit from it. Tanning is your body's natural defense against sunburn. Below you will find a few tips to help you naturally and moderately obtain a tan.
Tip #1 - Never get a sunburn. Gradually increase your exposure as not to burn. If you are outside you need to properly apply and wear sunscreen to prevent burning your skin.
Tip #2 - Tan only once in a 24-hour period.
Tip #3- Always wear your own eye protection.
Tip #4- Use only approved tanning lotions. They are better for your skin, increase your skins ability to tan by 30% and they won't damage our tanning beds.
Tip #5- Do not exceed recommended exposure times.
Tip #6 - If you tan in the nude, be extra cautious with areas that have had less exposure to light.
Tip #7- Lips do not tan well - use a spf on them during your tanning session.
Tip #8- If you have permanent ink (tattoo or make-up) be sure to use a spf on those areas as the ink fades when tanning.
Tip #9- Many things we use on a daily basis could cause photosensitivity (more susceptible to sunburn) Please check with the tanning consultant for a list of things to avoid.
